Cast Announced for Xmas Factor 2016

The cast are confirmed and already rehearsing for Xmas Factor 2016!

This year, we shall be graced with the talents of:

Craig Berry
Upcoming Theatre:

Theatre includes:
Old Deuteronomy in CATS (Oasis of the Seas, Royal Caribbean); Vic Christian in the London revival of the Pet Shop Boys’ musical Closer to Heaven (Union Theatre); R.H. Macy in Miracle on 34th Street(UK Tour); Superman/Clark Kent in the UK Premiere & West End Transfer of It’s A Bird…It’s A Plane…It’s Superman (Ye Olde Rose and Crown, Leicester Square Theatre); Monsieur Defarge in A Tale of Two Cities(Charing Cross Theatre) and featured Soloist in Words and Music (Sadlers Wells’ Lost Musicals).

TV includes: Finalist in Musicality (Channel 4, 2004)

Cabaret includes: Lead Vocalist on the Regent Seven Seas Voyager; Jean Ann Ryan and West End Singing Waiters.

Ruby Campbell
Ruby graduated earlier this year from the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama.

Ruby started her professional career in her native Northern Ireland, and her work with cutting edge theatre companies has taken her all over Ireland and as far as New York. Previous credits include Lady Windermere’s Fan (The MAC, Belfast), Lifeboat (Irish tour) and BABBLE (Irish/Welsh tour, New Victory Theatre – Off Broadway).

Ruby is delighted to be back with Iris Theatre for another year of Xmas Factor’s Christmas craic!

David Fearn
David studied at the Guildford School of Acting, having previously trained classically as a scholar at the Royal College of Music. Highlights include – Princeton (Avenue Q – GSA), Enoch Snow (Carousel – GSA), Monostatos (The Magic Flute – RCM), The Merlin (Pendragon – NYMT) andconcert soloist (Celebration of Rodgers’ and Hammerstein/ The music and words of Sondheim – RCM). David also worked as a lyricist/ composer for Tech Crew the Musical (GSA), in which he created the role of Jerry. As an opera singer David has been lucky enough to work with numerous prestigious companies such as the English National Opera (Between Worlds – workshop), Classical Opera (Orpheus) and Woodhouse Opera (Carmen/ La Dirindina) as well as performing at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and as a recitalist across the country.

Elliott James Frisby
Elliott’s versatility of work covers television, theatre, emerging and established artists. He is a songwriter who puts his dedication, determination and refined talent into everything he does. But just as joyfully as he writes uplifting melodies, so his repertoire belies an understanding of a deeper sense of feeling; one that reaches out and connects with listeners on subjects and emotions that resonate with the heart. As a performer, Elliott has performed with he likes of the late Robin Gibb and the sensational Dame Shirley Bassey and has performed his music from Nashville TN to the back streets of Soho to taking centre stage at The Royal Albert Hall.

David Hewson
David is an actor musician, musical director and composer. He is the musical director of Dumbwise theatre company, for whom he has composed original music for “Faust” (UK National Tour, Greenwich Theatre) and “Twisted Christmas” (Liverpool Playhouse). Other credits include MD/arranger for “Matchgirls” (Wilton’s Music Hall), and assistant MD for “Cinderella” (Stafford Gatehouse theatre). He currently teaches on the actor-musician course at Mountview Academy.

Emily Jane Kerr
Emily Jane Kerr is an actress, singer and writer from Hertfordshire. She trained at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama (BA Acting 2010). She is delighted to be performing in Xmas Factor again!

Emily has performed in many and varied venues, including Shakespeare’s Globe, The Hampstead Theatre and The Arts Theatre. She’s equally at home performing Shakespeare, writing comedy and talking in the third person. Credits include: Jo in The Secret Life of Sally (Southwark Playhouse), Bottom in Shakespeare for Breakfast 2016 (Edinburgh Fringe Festival), Maria in Twelfth Night (Leicester Square Theatre), Janine Ingerson in Call the Midwife (BBC), Delilah, in one woman show SMS (The Space), Sandra in web series Quirkology (Spearhead Media), Emilia in Othello, Puck in A Midsummer Night’s Dream and Stephano in The Tempest (all Grassroots Shakespeare London), Julia in Waiting for Space (Trafalgar Studios), and Mary, the lead in the original cast of new musical Jog On (Tristan Bates).

Emily is an Associate Artist with Grassroots Shakespeare London. She was part of their Shakespeare400 Dawn til Dust broadcast in association with Twitter and GoPro.

Tiffany Parker
Tiffany is recent graduate from The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama where she played the title role Charity in ‘Sweet Charity’. She is excited to be joining Iris theatre and central Alumni in this excellent night of new Xmas factor music. Bring on the mince pies!

Bryony Purdue
Bryony Purdue has trained Classically with great singers such as Teresa Cahill and Peter Knapp at Trinity Laban Conservatoire. Before moving to London to train and work as a singer, Bryony worked in the South-West and it is here that she met Leigh Haggerwood and the two began to work together on Leigh’s wonderful music for The Florin Street Band. Bryony was captivated by the magic of the music and world created in The Florin Street story and as such has continued to be involved. With experience on camera and stage, filming the music videos were not only wonderful experiences but great opportunities for Bryony and her love of performing continues across the country vocally and in acting.

Jarneia Richard-Noel
Jarneia Richard-Noel, is originally from Northampton, currently in her third year at The Urdang Academy. Now in final year for her third year musical, has been cast as Joanne in rent. She has played miss Gardner in Carrie, Lady of the lake in Spamalot, Effie in Dreamgirls in previous Urdang performances. An aspiring performer, excited to be apart of this concert.

Giovanna Ryan
Giovanna trained at Mountview Academy.
Credits include; ‘Susan’ THE BUSKERS OPERA Park Theatre London, ‘Ghost of Christmas Present’ A CHRISTMAS CAROL The Castle, Wellingborough directed by Luke Sheppard, ‘Susanna’ SWEET CHRITY New Wolsey Ipswich, ‘Ensemble/Cover Susan’ CALAMITY JANE UK Tour directed by Nikolai Foster, ‘Grace’ THE BLONDE BOMBSHELLS, Upstairs at the Gatehouse and JAMES AND THE GIANT PEACH for Birmingham Stage Company, directed by Nikolai Foster. Giovanna is also an accomplished musician who is highly skilled in cello, double bass and piano.

Emma Sewell
Emma trained at Trinity College of Music many moons ago, and upon graduation worked in both the world of opera and musical theatre. Most notable credits include the original West End Cast production of Lend me Tenor and the UK tour of The Sound of Music. She also played numerous roles with Grange Park Opera and their sister company Pimlico Opera. Once upon a time she also tripped the light fandango in America and bagged a coveted place in the International Lotte Lenya Competition. These days Emma can be found teaching the youth of South East London as a full time Music teacher. A role of a lifetime and one she cherishes. She can still be found performing in select events such as Xmas Factor, but all the world’s a stage and boy do 200 odd kids a week find that out the hard way…..

Oliver Stanley
Oliver trained at Birmingham School of Acting and the Royal Academy of Music. Recent credits include Lem in State Fair, Tom/Miner in The Hired Man (Cadogan Hall), Reiny/Nick in The Last Tycoon (Arts Theatre) Lord Marlborough in Princess Caraboo (Finborough), Whistle Down The Wind (Union), Curtain Up! (Prince Edward) Jimmy in Billy Young (Old Joint Stock), Till The Clouds Roll By (St James).
