12 March

Up and coming star of the spoken word and cabaret scene, Rachel Rose Reid brought her blend of word and songs to St Paul’s Church Covent Garden on Thursday 12 March 2008 at 7pm.

This show for Broken Hearts & dreamers took eclectic musical musings from Joni Mitchell, Jason Robert Brown, REM, The Eels etc… and melted them together in a bittersweet harmony with fairy stories and true tales from around the world.

As a storyteller Rachel has performed from the Belgian Lowlands to the Burning Man Festival, and in the UK with the BAC, the Tricycle Theatre, Soho Theatre and Nabokov. As a cabaret artist she has performed for Jermyn Street Theatre,Trilby Productions & the Ministry of Burlesque.

“Rachel’s performance was astonishing. She took the stage with an easy and ego-less charm and, with the aid of her powerful, intelligent vocals, began to weave a spell amongst the audience, with tales of mermaids, moon-gazing, and following our dreams.”Paul L Martin, Millionth Muse Productions
