Summer Festival 2021 | Jun 21 - Aug 22
Welcome to Iris Theatre!
Iris Theatre is an award-winning theatre company and charity based at The Actors Church, Covent Garden. Created in 2007, we provide transformational opportunities for early-career artists right in the heart of Central London.
Our collaborative approach gives artists at various stages of their career, from those entering the industry to mid-career artists, the opportunity to create work for a Central London venue.
Over the past decade Iris has built a reputation for innovative site-specific theatre with mass appeal. The cornerstone of our year is our summer promenade performances in the grounds and buildings of the Actors’ Church in Covent Garden. Our ten week summer season generally consists of a Shakespeare play followed by a classic family story, where we produce a fresh and vibrant repertoire of varied work in a welcoming environment open to everyone.
Throughout the year, Iris supports artists through a variety of development and performance opportunities.
