PLATFORM is Iris Theatre’s newest initiative to support breakout mid-career artists taking the next steps in their professional life.

Due to the coronavirus pandemic, we have temporarily postponed the launch of our Start and PLATFORM schemes. As further information comes to light about when the shut down of theatres will be lifted, we will share more information about the schemes and how to take part. Keep an eye on our blog, Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram for more information.

At its core, PLATFORM provides a showcase opportunity for creatives to show off a wide array of their work in an as-risk-free-as-possible environment, hosted at the historic Actors’ Church in Covent Garden. But it’s also a network, a loudhailer, a community of the next generation of world-leading artists in London.

PLATFORM artists are a curated group of professionals from multiple disciplines gathered under one banner. We’re looking for bold, innovative artists who’ve built up a body of material across multiple projects, that are taking their next steps into mid-career work. PLATFORM artists receive a slot at St Paul’s to share their work, hosted and helped along the way by the whole Iris team. We find these creatives through word-of-mouth, our own networks, and also through application directly to us.

Our first PLATFORM artist, announced in February 2020, is DYLAN WYNFORD, and his showcase event is on-sale now!

Applications are open year-round, but new additions to the PLATFORM roster will happen periodically. If you’ve any questions, get in touch with us at
